Have you ever seen some of those tiny house programs on television and thought to yourself: “how could they live in such a tiny space?” If so, you’re not alone. It takes a rare type of life perspective to be able to downsize into a tiny house and adjust to all the quirks that come with that lifestyle.
Maybe you’re not interested in going tiny. But, what about at least trying small on for size? The average home in the United States has way more square footage than most people need, and new homes are built every day in this style. However, you may find that by having a smaller home, what you lose in entertaining space and elbow room, you may make up for in faster housekeeping and maintenance or cheaper utility payments. Why not consider this as a “first step” toward downsizing and making your life a little more simple?
