Exercise is very important, and a lot of Floridians are eager to keep themselves in good shape. However, options for exercising have recently been a bit more limited than usual. For that reason, many have opted to purchase their own exercise equipment, setting aside a room or garage as a home gym. This can be a really good idea, and in some cases, it can even increase the value of a home. However, there are also plenty of safety considerations to keep in mind.
For example, are you fully aware of the pinch points and moving parts on your exercise equipment? If possible, do you store the equipment properly when it’s not in use? While it may be inconvenient, do you unplug the equipment and properly store the power cord when you’ve finished using it? Is the equipment in a place where you can be fully aware of your surroundings? These questions are important for you, but especially important when you think about the children in your home.
