We recommend for Mold Inspections be conducted in conjunction with a complete home inspection but it is not required. This benefits the Homeowner or prospective Homeowner in many ways. Not only does it aid in determining if an elevated mold problem is present, but it also aids in determining potential future problem areas within the home.

Initially, we perform a visual inspection of the subject area or building. When a suspicious area is identified, moisture testing is done using state of the art moisture meters and/or a Thermal Imaging Camera.

The initial visual inspection pinpoints specific areas of the building prone to mold growth. The combination of the mold inspection and building inspection complement each other. Often during the building inspection, some mold/fungi is encountered.

Once the mold inspection process is complete, we review the preliminary findings with the client(s). Tests that go beyond a visual inspection are lab tests, which may include, air, swab or bulk, not only confirm the presence of mold but also create a baseline that will be needed or used at a later date during post mold remediation testing.
